We get these in northern Indiana and they are ugly and can take out a tomato plant in a single day. If we see one, we pull it and get rid of it.

While the tomato hornworm looks similar, the Coscinocera Hercules moth is native to N. Australia & New Guinea. The moth's wingspan can reach 10 inches. Amazing!
