Reed sensor uses the reed switch as the heart of its switching mechanism. When paired with a permanent magnet, reed sensor is perfect for proximity, movement, liquid level application.

Reed sensor comes in different sizes and shapes and hence it's able to meet different applications. Typical reed sensors have Normally open, Normally closed and Changeover form, the rated power can be up to 100W .

Reed sensor works by opening and closing the reed switch contacts in the presence of a magnetic field, when it's in standby status, nearly no power is consumed. Furthermore the reed sensor will perform billions of operations.
